NAWBO Phoenix Mentoring Program – A Journey of Learning

The Phoenix NAWBO mission strives to assist women in achieving success by uniting in common goals, promoting leadership, and developing entrepreneurial skills and business acumen. Through mentoring and a journey of learning, the Mentoring Committee has identified strategic goals that not only guided the development of this years’ program, but align directly with the NAWBO Phoenix Chapter and National missions.

  • Creation of a mentee business plan
  • Foster mentee's learning and growth through goal setting
  • Foster an environment for goal achievement
  • Provide a safe environment to communicate growth achievement
  • Provide a personally rewarding and growth experience for mentors
  • Engage and promote future leaders for NAWBO
  • Increase membership satisfaction

In the upcoming year, the Journey of Learning will explore business plans, resources, strengths, weaknesses, profit and loss, presenting your business, action plans, goal setting and attainment, and professional development through the identification of measurable goals. The Journey of Learning begins through Mentoring in the Phoenix Mentoring Program.

Registration is open each year August through September with program kick-off in October and is sponsored in part by the Women’s Enterprise Foundation and the University of Phoenix.

Special request from NAWBO to be a MENTOR!
We need mentors – Have you heard that you have to be an award winning business owner or own a multi-million dollar business to be a mentor? NOT TRUE. Ask yourself these questions.

  • Have you been in business 3+ years?
  • Do you desire to help other business women in taking their business to the next level?
  • Are you willing to be involved in experiential conversations with your mentee?
  • Do you want to learn from the program as well?
  • Are you willing to attend a 3-hour meeting, and meet (telephone, face-to-face) one-on-one with your mentee each month?

If you answer yes to these questions – you may just be the mentor we are looking for to fill some key mentoring spots.
