NAW’Bro’ 2024 is Dedicated to Empowering Phoenix, Arizona's Female Business Owners
The Phoenix Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) introduces an innovative annual fundraiser, NAW’Bro’. This first-of-its-kind event is dedicated to celebrating and honoring the men in our community who continually advocate for women business owners. Join us at the illustrious Martin Car Museum, where history's most iconic cars meet the heroes of today.

NAW’Bro’ is not just a fundraiser; it's geared to raise awareness for Arizona's women business owners and create a platform for men to show up for women in business. The event underscores the importance of mentorship, support, and growth for the next generation of women entrepreneurs, highlighting the significant impact of solidarity across genders in the business community.
NAW’Bro’ 2024 Male Ally of The Year Nomination
The NAW’Bro’ event, brainchild of Suzi Freeman, Chapter President of NAWBO Phoenix, and the NAWBO Phoenix team, is not only a celebration but also a platform to acknowledge the incredible men in our community who go above and beyond to support, mentor, and empower women in business. This year, we are introducing the Men of Support Nomination to recognize these outstanding individuals through peer voting.
Introducing our 2024 Nominees
Nomination Criteria
Nominees should be men who have demonstrated exceptional support for female entrepreneurs in one or more of the following ways listed below. Please submit your nominations by April 15th, 2024. This will allow us ample time to review all submissions and prepare for the peer voting process. After the nomination deadline, all submissions will be reviewed, and selected nominees will be presented for community voting. The winners will be announced and honored at the NAW’Bro’ event on May 8th, during a special segment dedicated to celebrating their contributions to the empowerment of women in business.
Eligibility Criteria:

A Catalyst for Support: This individual actively supports, mentors, or advocates for one or more women in business. Their support is a testament to their belief in fostering gender diversity and empowerment in the business arena.

Beyond Financial Contributions: While financial support is valuable, our focus is on celebrating the diverse ways men contribute to the success of women entrepreneurs. Direct donations to NAWBO are not a prerequisite for nomination.

Local Hero: The nominee must be a resident of Arizona, deeply embedded in the local business community either through running or having ownership in an Arizona-based business.
Recognition for the Unseen Work This award is an opportunity to acknowledge the unsung heroes in our business community. It's about recognizing those who, behind the scenes, offer their time, resources, and guidance to champion women-owned businesses.

We invite you to nominate a deserving individual who exemplifies these qualities and has made a noteworthy contribution to the success of women in business. Let's honor the commitment, support, and advocacy of these exceptional men who help pave the way for gender equality in the business world.
Mentorship
Has provided guidance, advice, and mentorship to women business owners, helping them navigate challenges and achieve their business goals. OR Has been actively involved in community activities or events that support and celebrate women in business.
Sponsorship
Has sponsored events, initiatives, or women-led businesses, providing financial or in-kind support that has been crucial for their success.
Advocacy & Community Engagement
Has actively advocated for women in business, promoting gender equality, and creating opportunities for women to thrive in the entrepreneurial and business owners ecosystem.
Leadership
Has shown leadership in promoting diversity and inclusion within the business community, ensuring that women business owners have a voice and platform.
